Food Server / Wine Sales Associate

Position Overview
We are seeking polished, energetic, and hospitality driven Model Servers / Wine Sales Associates to join our upscale wine bar team in Henderson, Nevada. This is not a traditional serving position. This is a hospitality and wine sales focused role built around guest engagement, wine education, elevated service, and creating memorable experiences.
The ideal candidate is confident on the floor, understands upscale clientele, has previous wine knowledge, and knows how to drive sales through genuine hospitality and recommendation based service. Candidates must be comfortable discussing wine, guiding guests through pairings, upselling premium selections, and contributing to the overall energy and atmosphere of the venue.
You will work closely alongside the Sommelier team and ownership to help create a high level wine driven guest experience.
This is a fast paced, guest facing environment that values personality, professionalism, presentation, and sales ability.
Required Experience & QualificationsCandidates MUST have:
- Previous serving experience in upscale casual, fine dining, lounge, nightlife, or hospitality environments
- Previous wine knowledge and comfort discussing wine with guests
- Understanding of major wine regions, varietals and styles
- Previous sales experience and the ability to confidently upsell
- Strong interpersonal and guest engagement skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
- Professional appearance and grooming standards
- Must be 21 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in wine bars, cocktail lounges, steak houses, or elevated nightlife venues
- Familiarity with wine service standards and wine pairings
- Experience using POS systems
- Previous luxury hospitality experience is a plus
- CMS or WSET certifications a plus
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Hospitality
- Deliver warm, polished, attentive, and engaging service from arrival to departure
- Create memorable guest experiences through hospitality, personality, and professionalism
- Build rapport with guests and maintain an elevated but approachable atmosphere
- Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive table maintenance throughout service
- Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary
- Maintain strong menu knowledge including ingredients, allergies, and daily features
Wine Sales & Beverage Service
- Confidently guide guests through the wine list and pairing recommendations
- Drive wine sales through education, enthusiasm, and suggestive selling
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of wine varietals, regions, producers, tasting profiles, and styles
- Properly present, open, and pour wine according to service standards
- Recommend premium wines, pairings, flights, and featured selections
- Work alongside the Sommelier team to enhance the guest experience
- Follow all responsible alcohol service practices at all times
Service & Operations
- Accurately enter orders into the POS system
- Deliver food and beverages efficiently and professionally
- Complete opening, running, and closing side work
- Polish glassware, stock stations, reset tables, and maintain service standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout all FOH areas
- Follow all cash handling and checkout procedures
Appearance & Presentation Standards
This is a guest facing hospitality position where appearance, professionalism, and presentation matter.
Employees must:
- Maintain a polished, clean, and professional appearance at all times
- Maintain daily hair grooming and hygiene standards
- Avoid heavy perfumes or excessive fragrances
- Maintain clean and professional nails
- Tattoos are permitted provided they are not offensive or inappropriate
- Exhibit confident, personable, high energy hospitality while on the floor
Certifications & Compliance Requirements
Candidates must possess:
- Valid SNHD Food Handler Safety Training Card
- Valid Alcohol Awareness Certification (TAM Card or equivalent)
- CMS or WSET certifications a plus
Employees are expected to:
- Comply with all Nevada alcohol service laws
- Never serve minors or visibly intoxicated guests
- Follow all Southern Nevada Health District sanitation requirements
- Accurately report tips in accordance with state and federal law
- Follow all workplace safety and sanitation standards
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry trays weighing up to 25 to 40 pounds
- Comfortable working in a dimly lit, high energy environment with music, crowds, and nightlife atmosphere
Schedule Requirements
- Evening availability required
- Weekend and holiday availability required
- Flexible scheduling preferred
