Position Summary

Perform expected responsibilities as a bartender, oversee and manage the bar and staff in the absence of a manager, and hold responsibility for End of Day tasks(see checklist for EoD SOP’s) and cash handling.

Hours and Pay

  • 2-3 days a week behind the bar: $16.50 -$20 / hour tips
  • 2-3 days a week office/management work: $24 - $30 / hour

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • 2 years Bartending/Beertending experience
  • Supervisor/Management experience a plus

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Making judgment calls on when to keep/cut staff with direction from upper management - generally based on sales, weather, and time of day
  • Making sound decisions when tapping new kegs and keeping cold box organized(this includes and is not limited to helping move kegs from one cold box to another and

helping load in kegs to cold box(as needed)

  • Handling guest concerns, complaints, as well as cutting off inebriated guests
  • Creating accurate nightly cash drops and keeping proper accounting in log
  • Finding work and side-work to do when times are slow
  • Checking in with food vendors for where they need to set-up, how they set-up, how they can not set-up, breaking down, and more.
  • Helping with planning and organizing of tasting room events, parties, and celebrations
  • Helping train staff on beer education, SoPs, and safety procedures
  • Assisting with merchandising and organization of merchandise and inventory

Technical Skills & Abilities

  • POS system management (Square, Toast, etc)
  • Google Drive/Microsoft applications (Google docs/sheets)
  • Scheduling experience
  • Event planning & organizing
  • Typing/Computer Skills
