Executive Director of Secondary Education

The Parkway School District Department of Human Resources is currently accepting applications for the position of Executive Director of Secondary Education for the 2026-2027 school year.

Under the general supervision of the Deputy Superintendent, the Executive Director of Secondary Education provides strategic leadership, supervision, and support for all middle and high schools in Parkway School District, including Choice Programs. This role is responsible for ensuring high levels of student learning, effective instructional practices, positive school culture and climate, and consistent implementation of district initiatives at the secondary level. The Executive Director serves as a key instructional leader, supervisor of building administrators, and liaison between secondary schools and district leadership, advancing the district’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities. Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Deputy Superintendent or Superintendent. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum salary: $132,733
(commensurate with experience)

12 Month Working Contract

Qualifications Requirements: Master’s degree in educational administration or related field required; Doctorate preferred. Valid state administrator certification/licensure required. Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience as a building administrator; secondary experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of secondary instruction, curriculum, assessment, graduation pathways, and school improvement. Proven ability to lead, coach, and evaluate administrators. Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
