Elementary School Principal

The Parkway School District Department of Human Resources is currently accepting applications for the position of Principal of Craig Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year.

Responsibilities

Successful candidates must possess strong administrative and instructional leadership skills and demonstrate excellent skills in written and verbal communications. The Principal has major responsibilities in the following areas:

• Supervising classroom instruction, curriculum implementation, and student assessment
• Promoting educational equity and social justice
• Focusing on the character development of students
• Supporting the work of professional learning communities
• Facilitating restorative practices with students, staff, and families
• Analyzing student assessment data and implementing school improvement plans
• Selecting, developing, and evaluating teachers
• Involving the community in building a student-centered school climate
• Developing relationships among students, staff, and the broader community
• Cultivating an environment that supports cultural diversity, equity, staff engagement, and teamwork
  
  

In addition, the candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with students, staff, and parents. Specific job responsibilities will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, abilities, and specific school requirements.

Minimum salary: $117,397

12 Month Working Contract

Applicants must possess a Missouri Elementary Principal’s Certificate. Successful experience in elementary school administration as a Principal or Assistant Principal is desirable.
