Subcontractor Sourcing Specialist

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Subcontractor Sourcing Specialist supports the Estimating and Preconstruction Services department. The primary responsibility is sourcing and contacting new prospective bidders. Additionally, the role involves maintaining relationships with Parkway’s existing subcontractor base to secure bid commitments for specific projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Duties:

• Source subcontractors to commit to bidding on Parkway projects across the US.
• Develop sourcing plans and network strategies for specific trades.
• Contact prospective subcontractors via telephone, email, and text to discuss project scopes.
• Secure at least three subcontractor bids per trade.
• Provide daily updated contact logs to the project lead for each project.
• Maintain persistence in obtaining subcontractor bids.
• Manage subcontractor solicitation records.
• Assist in maintaining good business relationships with subcontractors.

Additional Duties:

• Assist the Estimating and Preconstruction team on bid day by contacting committed subcontractors.
• Create, maintain, and update the subcontractor database with current information, including addresses, phone numbers, and contacts.
• Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
• Assume additional responsibilities and assignments as directed by the supervisor.

EDUCATION & TRAINING 

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; college-level coursework preferred.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Successful implementation of multiple sourcing strategies.
• Familiarity with www.monday.com is a plus.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• High organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet critical deadlines.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
