About the RoleParkstone Place is seeking a motivated, organized, and resident‑focused Assistant Facility Manager & Activities Director to support daily facility operations while leading a dynamic, meaningful activity program for our senior living community. This is a hands‑on role that blends leadership, creativity, and teamwork to ensure residents enjoy a safe, engaging, and high‑quality living experience.
Assess resident interests and develop a diverse calendar of meaningful activities that support social, physical, emotional, and cognitive well‑being. (“Assess resident preferences and develop a program of opportunities and activities that are meaningful…” )
Plan and lead group events, one‑to‑one activities, outings, cultural experiences, exercise sessions, learning opportunities, and holiday events. (“Carries out the large, small, and one-to-one events…” )
Create and distribute a monthly activity calendar with variety and consistency.
Arrange or provide transportation for resident outings; accompany residents to events. (“Arrange or provide transportation and accompany residents to activities.” )
Evaluate activity participation and quality through surveys and direct interaction with residents and families.
Prepare and manage the activity budget for supplies, food, equipment, and labor.
Send monthly or quarterly newsletters to residents and families.
Support the Facility Manager with daily operations and department oversight.

Train, support, and provide feedback to reception and transportation staff.
Conduct morning staff meetings when needed and perform daily department inspections.
Assist with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and new‑hire orientation.

Assist with budget analysis and strategies to meet annual facility goals.
Help prepare for new and discharging residents, including paperwork and welcome/farewell coordination.

High school diploma or GED required.
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet).
Experience working with seniors preferred.
Valid Arkansas driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Strong communication skills and ability to maintain accurate information exchange.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, and pulling. (“This position is very active and requires frequent standing/walking… lifting/handling…” )
Ability to lift or move 50 lbs and assist residents safely, including wheelchair securement and use of ramps/lifts.
