Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, and vendors
- Pick up parts and equipment from customers and vendors to be coordinated with the Dispatcher, Parts Manager and Parts Counter people before leaving
- Checks with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter people, or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries.
- Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up.
- Checks payments received with the invoices for each delivery.
- Handles basic truck maintenance, including filling the tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and ensuring required inspections are performed.
- Complete a log at the time of delivery and request the recipient’s signature
- Unload truck each night. Turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts
- Help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department
- Maintains professional appearance
- Other tasks as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Ability to use computer and calculator
- Will be trained in the parts department’s computer inventory system
- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors, and other contacts
- Comfortable lifting to 50 lbs and lifting frequently
- Experience in automotive repair or parts sales preferred
- Professional personal appearance
