GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Lead Ranger, this position performs complex (journey-level) building maintenance and construction work including daily operations and the maintenance program at Cedar Hill State Park. Performs all phases of maintenance and repairs to facilities, buildings, vehicles, equipment, and the grounds. Operates all types of equipment, including mowers, trimmers, trucks, and other gas operated equipment. Duties include electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and daily preventative maintenance (cleaning/inspecting) of park facilities and grounds. This position acts at the Site Safety Officer (SSO) and is responsible for implementing the TPWD safety program at Cedar Hill State Park. Assists in the enforcement of park rules and regulations. Provides customer/visitor services and assists with camping registration. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.
