Job Overview:
Parkman Recovery is currently hiring Full-time and Part-time Recovery House Monitors for our female sober house. Pre-employment screening is required. Must be flexible with hours. Benefits available to Full-time only.
The Recovery House Monitor plays a key role in maintaining a safe, supportive, and accountable living environment for residents. This position ensures that house rules and guidelines are followed, assists residents with daily needs, conducts inspections, and provides crisis intervention and support as needed.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license held for at least 4 years with a clean driving record.
- Must pass a criminal background check, child welfare check, and a drug screen.
- High school diploma or GED required; experience in human services, recovery, or childcare preferred.
- Knowledge of addiction recovery, relapse prevention, and family-centered care principles.
- Must be dependable, compassionate, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle sensitive situations with discretion.
- Comfortable transporting residents and supervising children.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise residents and children to ensure safety, structure, and a positive atmosphere.
- Enforce house rules, curfew, and program expectations with fairness and consistency.
- Conduct room and home inspections; complete daily reports and logs accurately.
- Provide transportation for residents to appointments, 12-step meetings, and other approved activities.
- Supervise children while mothers attend meetings.
- Administer and document drug/alcohol screenings as required.
- Respond to and de-escalate conflicts in a calm, professional manner.
- Maintain confidentiality and model appropriate boundaries.
- Communicate effectively with management and staff regarding resident progress and concerns.
