Company Description: Parking Lot Maintenance, Inc. is a construction contractor serving Richmond, Hampton Roads, and surrounding areas. We provide site preparation, asphalt repair, concrete replacement, parking lot striping, sealcoating, and related services to the commercial real estate, property management, and construction industries.
Role Description: This is a full time position based out of our Newport News, VA office. The skilled laborer will work as part of a field crew and may assist with any of the following tasks:
- Site preparation/sitework/underground utility install/repair
- Concrete demo & replacement
- Asphalt demo & replacement
- Asphalt crack filling
- Sealcoating
- Line Striping
Daily responsibilities may include using basic hand tools, power tools, operating small equipment to load/unload material, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and following project plans.
The typical work schedule is 40 or more hours per week, with opportunities for overtime based on workload and project needs. The position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions, collaborating with crew members, and ability to perform manual labor & heavy lifting (50 lbs) for 8-10 hours a day.
Requirements:
- 18 years of age
- Able to pass drug test
- Legally eligible to work in the US
- Have reliable transportation to and from the Newport News shop each scheduled workday
- Must be dependable, safety-minded, and willing to learn
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
