What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Staff position at Parker Personal Care Home?
Hiring for Direct Care Staff / Resident Care Aide at a personal care home for the elderly.
Job Duties include but not limited to the following:
Caring for the elderly (which may include) helping to shower, proper peri care after episode of incontinence, changing adult diaper/pullups, brushing teeth and/or dentures, helping with dressing and undressing, helping with washing in the AM & PM. Job does require some lifting to help residents transfer from chair to wheelchair, wheelchair to bed, etc. as needed.
Washing laundry, changing bed linens (that could possibly be soiled). Serving meals, possibly helping to feed someone.
Collecting the trash from the residents' rooms, passing towels to the residents' bathrooms. Moping the dining room and kitchen floor on the 11pm-7am.
Medication training so you would be able to administer medications to the residents after completion of your 90-probation period. As well as diabetic training and CPR training.
Shifts are as follows: 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm and 11pm to 7am / Monday through Friday. 12 Hour shifts every other weekend, and Holiday availability is required. We try to give every other weekend off when we have the staff needed to do so. Currently staff work 12-hour shifts on the weekends in order to grant every other weekend off, 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am.
Currently hiring for someone available to work a mix of 7a-3p / 3p-11p along with 7a-7p on the weekend and someone available to work a 3p-11p along with 7a-7p on the weekend.
Your starting wage is $13.50 an hour, after your 90-day probation period is completed successfully you will increase to $14.00 an hour (this starting wage is based on no experience). Yearly raises based off performance review.
There is a shift differential offered for the midnight shift (11p-7a). Any employee who works any hours from 11pm-7am will receive and extra $.50 an hour on top of your current rate.

Pay: $13.50 - $14.00 per hour
