Responsibilities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply engineering expertise, Lean manufacturing techniques and practical experience to the task of planning/implementing process & capital equipment improvements and troubleshooting problems.
- Basic understanding of production facility engineering support operations.
- Expertise in Chemical process operations and knowledge in coating/adhesive formulation systems and large-scale polymer synthesis is a plus.
- Must have the ability to understand operation of different types of manufacturing equipment including dispersion/mixing units and batch reaction systems.
WORK EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED
- Three to five years’ experience in specialty chemical/adhesive manufacturing or solvent/emulsion polymer manufacturing.
- Experience with mixing/dispersion equipment and large chemical reaction systems (batch).
- Experience reading piping and instrument diagrams, electrical control schematics and loop drawings.
- AutoCAD experience a plus.
- Experience with SAP.
- Familiarity with LORD Systems for production recipes/costing, quality evaluation, and product design/commercialization.
- Experience with OSHA’s Safety Management (PSM) regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in the development, execution and overall management of capital projects.
- AutoCAD and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
