We are currently seeking a talented product design engineer to join our NVH team and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional quality and performance. Engineer II position will be responsible for product design, analysis, testing and/or technical support depending on his or her role in the technology organization. Engineer II will often interface with and support the needs of the Industrial facilities throughout the NVH division. This position also requires interface with industrial NVH customers throughout the world.
Responsibilities:
Promoting a safety-first workplace, encouraging the identification and closure of opportunities for safety improvements
Solve non-routine technical problems of intermediate scope and complexity
Design and execute moderate investigations and troubleshooting, intermediate data analysis, and report generation
Support the implementation of technical solutions to challenging problems faced by our Industrial customers
Lead portions of goals assigned to an HPT as a team member
Team leader on lower complexity, short-term projects
Independently determine and develop approach to problem solutions for both internal and external customer
Perform application engineering support and system analysis for final recommendation of standard product offerings
Competencies Required:
Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the engineering field as well as ability to understand and apply theory to complex situations
General knowledge of other related disciplines
Intermediate knowledge of key products and/or industry knowledge- customer application, failure analysis
Proficient understanding and utilization of engineering tools, methods, and processes
Proficiency in GD&T development and refinement
History of Tech Lead responsibilities on low complexity, short term projects
Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and negotiation skills
Ability to manage assignments simultaneously with good project management, organization, and planning skills
Ability to translate customer requirements into viable technical and commercial solutions
Relentless pursuit of Zero Defect and Simple-by-Design engineered product solutions that provide the highest value to our customers
Willing to travel up to 10% of the time. Travel could be within Continental US or Internationally.
Fluent in English, both written and verbal
Required Work Experience:
2+ years in a relevant engineering deign environment with demonstrated ability to assume increasing responsibility
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology or Industrial Engineering
