BASIC FUNCTIONS:
Parker's Human Resources Leadership Development Program (HRLDP) offers you the opportunity to develop strong technical knowledge and professional experience preparing you to play a crucial role in Parker's success by supporting the overall strategic plan with people related processes and programs that will impact our team members engagement.

- Program duration: 2 years
- Program Structure: 3-4 rotational assignments
- Rotations' length: 6 months each.
- Travel requirements: The assignments will require relocation. You will also be required to travel to Parker's corporate headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio for program review, personal development and interaction with fellow program participants and mentors.
- Relocation requirements: Geographic flexibility is required both during and upon completion of the program
- This is not a remote position

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Leadership Development Associates (LDA) program is a two-year program in which participants will complete multiple assignments and gather valuable HR experiences. LDAs will be provided an opportunity to develop contacts and create a network for future career growth across Parker's global footprint. Some of the specific HR technical responsibilities that our LDAs will be asked to lead are as follows:
- Shadows and actively participates in communicating programs and policies to ensure the understanding and consistent application of policies, procedures, and practices. Observes and promotes Parker's purpose, culture and values.
- Participates in the hiring and selection process. May recruit prospective employees, screen applicants, and coordinate searches with recruiters and temporary agencies.
- May participate in job evaluations and job description development. May participate in or review local pay surveys and analyze pay data for wage and benefit review development or other compensation related programs and processes.
- Shadows manufacturing leaders and team members when appropriate (production supervisors, production control, leads, quality, engineering, environmental health and safety) to gain a thorough understanding of manufacturing operational positions and other functional roles.
- Participates in HR processes such as onboarding team members which include new hire entry, reporting, record keeping and Environmental Health and Safety procedures.
- Assists in coordinating annual benefit program enrollment, explains benefit programs, and fields employee questions. May participate in health and wellness events, engagement activities or safety committees.
- May participate in confidential employee relations concerns, internal investigations into a variety of Human Resources or other business matters as required.
- Studies and understands existing employment law and participates in discussions with legal counsel.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing business or HR-related publications, establishing industry networks, and/or participating in professional associations
To join this program, you need to meet or exceed the following criteria:
- Leads with a Purpose. Purpose helps us prepare for future changes while staying focused on the unique role our team members play to improve lives and create a better tomorrow.
- Bachelor's Degree with a graduation date before June 2024 with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Degree preferably in Human Resources or in a business field, with an HR minor.
- Prior industry experience or related student internship preferred.
- Fundamental knowledge of key human resources principles, concepts, laws and practices.
- General knowledge of various human resources or related functions (e.g., EEO, compensation, benefits, training and development, safety, etc.).
- Ability to effectively communicate through verbal, written forms or by presenting at all levels through the organization.
- Geographic Mobility: Must be willing to temporarily relocate domestically multiple times during the program and must be willing to relocate domestically at the conclusion of the program.
- This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident ["green card" holders] or have refugee or asylee status).
