General Summary:
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment, and in fabricating metal parts and tools for the Kansas City manufacturing facility by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Directs workers in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
2. Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
3. Directs workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
4. Assists in identifying and initiating spare part requirements.
5. Develops maintenance schedules and estimates job completion times and work loading.
6. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
7. Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
8. Performs job responsibilities in compliance with IATFD16949; ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001.
9. Establishes or adjusts maintenance work schedules to meet production schedules.
10. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department or work crew.
11. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
12. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
13. Maintains time and production records.
14. Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
15. Schedules and directs contractors working in the facility.
16. Facilitates formal and on the job training for maintenance techs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- 5 years maintenance supervisory experience
- Directly supervises 8 to 12 employees in the Maintenance Department.
- Problem solving capabilities
- Experience with Microsoft 365
- Reliability
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Time Management
- Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions.
