Plant Equipment Maintenance Mechanic

Are You the Go-To Problem Solver on the Floor? If you enjoy fixing what’s broken, optimizing what’s working, and keeping production humming, this role is built for you. What You’ll Do Handle entry-to-mid level corrective and preventive maintenance across plant equipment.Tune and adjust device components and control instruments to maintain and elevate performance.Repair or swap out defective parts; recondition machine tools as needed.Spot and source required parts, supplies, and repair items.Provide backup for teammates per leadership direction; collaborate across the department.Work with maintenance industry standards top of mind; keep areas aligned with 5S and strong housekeeping.Contribute to CI work—better processes, measurable outcomes, and cost savings.When called upon, set up and run basic machining operations (lathe, drill press, grinder, etc.) and perform basic welding.Update documentation, maintain accurate records, and review CMMS history.Perform basic troubleshooting on control systems circuitry.Invest in your growth through technical self-study programs.Follow safety policies, regulations, and technical instructions; practice situational awareness and call out unsafe conditions. What You Bring High school diploma or GED.Associate degree with a technical focus OR 18 months of relevant general-industry experience OR successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program.Foundational knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, with demonstrated repair ability.Comfort using basic hand tools. Physical & Environmental Realities Expect to stand, walk, use hands/fingers, reach, climb or balance (including up ladders or lifts), stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl in tight spaces, and communicate effectively on a regular basis.At times you’ll sit, and you’ll occasionally lift or move items weighing more than 50 lbs.Frequent close and color vision required.Occasional exposure to outdoor weather and risk of electrical shock.Work is typically in a loud factory environment with potential exposure to hazardous materials and greasy or slippery floors.
