What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Camp Site Coordinator, Seasonal (44511) position at PARK RIDGE PARK DISTRICT?
Description: We are seeking Assistant Camp Site Coordinators who will assist the Camp Site Coordinator in the daily operations and safety of the campers and staff ages 3 and up. This includes planning, organizing, and leading the day to day operations of the camp program. This position gives direction and assists in the evaluations of the Camp Counselors, Counselors-in-Training and camp participants. The Assistant Camp Site Coordinator also helps maintain current and accurate records relative to all aspects of the camp, including attendance, participant information, and time sheets. Camp location and age of participants will vary based on selected camp.
Qualifications: Individuals must have a sound background and working knowledge of camp programs and activities. Advanced level written and verbal communication in the English language is required as well as basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Must be CPR/AED and first-aid certified or have the ability to become certified (through our district) prior to the onset of the program.
Education: High school diploma (or equivalent) plus some college credits in education, recreation or other related field of study is preferred.
Availability: We are seeking applicants to work Monday through Friday approximately 30 to 40 hours per week. Hours will vary based on selected camp. Training begins May 18 with camp beginning June 8 and running through August 21.
