Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and building infrastructure to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety compliance
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to manage automated equipment and processes within manufacturing environments
- Conduct welding repairs on metal structures or equipment as needed to maintain integrity and safety standards
- Assist with residential painting projects to improve facility aesthetics and protect surfaces from wear
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion while adhering to safety protocols
- Lead or support team members in maintaining high standards of customer service when addressing internal or external client needs
- Read and interpret schematics for electrical wiring, mechanical systems, or facility layouts to facilitate accurate repairs or modifications
- Maintain safety standards by following OSHA regulations and conducting regular safety audits
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems efficiently
- Proficiency in electrical experience including wiring, circuit testing, and understanding schematics
- Hands-on welding skills for repairing metal components or structures
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in automated environments
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints accurately
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with team members and clients
- Supervising experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing settings is a plus
- Basic residential painting skills for minor surface refreshes or repairs
- Competence in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting
