Job Overview
Park Place Church of God has an immediate opening for a Custodian. As a member of the Church support staff, the custodian will assist in fulfilling the Park Place Church of God vision and achieving the goals of Park Place Church of God by cleaning and maintaining assigned Church, Children’s Center and/or Community Center areas, providing a safe, sanitary and comfortable environment for the community, worshippers and employees.
Responsibilities
Complete set-ups of meeting rooms as directed; clean classrooms, meeting spaces, restrooms and common areas as directed; empty trash cans and recyclables; lock and unlock buildings, classrooms, meeting spaces and internal access doors as directed; light yard work and/or snow removal; identify potential safety or maintenance issues and communicate them to the Facilities Manager; comply with all safety policies and procedures.

Experience
A minimum of 1 year of similar work experience. Candidates must also have a strong work ethic and time management skills; be a team player who works collaboratively and possesses self-initiative. Oral and written communication skills compatible with the customer services expectations and duties of the position. Position requires completion of a background check.
Education Requirements
High school education or equivalent is highly desired.
Physical Requirements
Job requires ability to move between buildings and around a multiple floor building; work will be indoors and outdoors. Regular stooping, bending, moving and lifting of 50 pounds is required to complete assigned duties.
A lifestyle compatible with the Church of God/Anderson IN is appropriate and expected while at work.
