The Accounts Payable/Customer Service Clerk is responsible for supporting day-to-day operational activities of accounts payable/Customer Service department at Park Home Store. By completing payments, reviewing purchase orders, receiving, processing, verify, and reconcile invoices. The incumbent will support other duties as assigned by management.

Essential Functions:

  • Complete payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling all payables.
  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances and maintain historical payment records.
  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost center by analyzing invoice/expense reports, recording entries.
  • Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal id numbers, scheduling, and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
  • Ensure credit is received for outstanding invoices.
  • Issue stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
  • Process all expense reports and prepare checks/ACH.
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
  • Oversee and review purchase orders by utilizing company systems.
  • Utilize accounting software and system to manage payments and research billing and payment discrepancies.
  • Assist and fill in for the Customer Service team.
  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and coworkers.
  • Coordinate and respond to customer needs regarding.
  • Create, process, and update customer service invoices in a timely manner.
  • Acknowledge and resolve customer complaints in accordance with applicable manufacturer guidelines.
  • Document customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints using company software.

Other Functions:

  • Communicate with the Customer Service and Accounting department.
  • Provide top tier service to all PARK HOME’s customers and build positive customer relationships.
  • Adheres to company safety policy by utilizing proper safety devices such as fall protection, etc.
  • Accept alternative assignments on short notice, work scheduled and nonscheduled overtime.
  • Excellent listening skills and the ability to work independently and with a team.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail, good organizational skills with the ability to ensure accurate work.
  • Ability to work independently but as part of a team concept.
  • Flexibility and the ability to operate under stressful, time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record for insurability.
