Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our team in Milpitas, CA for a 6-month contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in automation testing for web and mobile applications, along with hands-on experience in Selenium, Java, API testing, and Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for web and mobile applications.
• Develop automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Java, TestNG/JUnit, and Cucumber BDD framework.
• Perform Functional, Regression, Smoke, Integration, System, and UAT testing.
• Create and execute test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and automation scripts based on business requirements.
• Perform API testing using Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI, or similar tools.
• Execute cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
• Work closely with Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Validate backend data using SQL queries and database testing techniques.
• Track defects, manage test execution, and generate QA reports using Jira and related tools.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and QA review meetings.
• Ensure high-quality software delivery through continuous testing and process improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in QA Automation Testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Java.
• Experience with Cucumber BDD, TestNG/JUnit, and Maven.
• Experience in API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.
• Experience testing web and native mobile applications (iOS/Android).
• Knowledge of Appium or WebDriverIO is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Strong SQL skills and database testing experience.
• Familiarity with BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or LambdaTest is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Banking, Insurance, Retail, or Financial domains.
• Experience with cloud-based testing platforms.
• Knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.

Education

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
