The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying defects through manual testing, validating functionality, and ensuring a seamless user experience across web and mobile applications. This role requires close collaboration with developers and cross-functional teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Key Responsibilities
- Execute manual test cases including functional, system, integration, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Validate application behavior across web and mobile platforms (iOS and Android).
- Execute automated test suites when required and analyze test failures.
- Create, maintain, and update test cases, test plans, and test documentation.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Collaborate with developers and QA team members to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
- Analyze business and technical requirements to ensure complete test coverage.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Perform regression testing to ensure stability after changes or fixes.
- Proven experience in manual software testing.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, TestRail).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Experience testing web applications using browsers such as Chrome and Firefox.
- Experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.
- Basic understanding of automated testing and ability to execute automated test scripts.
- Perform both black-box testing (user-focused validation) and white-box testing (leveraging system knowledge when applicable).
- Ensure applications meet functional requirements, usability standards, and quality benchmarks before release.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing strategies.
- Exposure to automation tools or scripting.
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
