Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable In-Person Economics Tutor to provide high-quality instruction to high school and college students. This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about economics, enjoy one-on-one and small-group teaching, and can explain complex concepts in a clear and relatable way.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalized in-person tutoring in Economics, including AP Macroeconomics, AP Microeconomics, and college-level coursework.
- Develop customized lesson plans based on students’ needs and school curriculum.
- Explain economic principles, models, graphs, and real-world applications clearly and effectively.
- Assist students with homework, test prep, essay writing, and understanding economic data.
- Foster an engaging and supportive learning environment that builds student confidence and critical thinking.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed to meet academic goals.
- Stay informed on changes in AP Economics curriculum and best practices in tutoring.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Strong knowledge of AP Macroeconomics and AP Microeconomics curriculum.
- Prior experience in tutoring or teaching economics at the high school or college level.
- Experience as an AP Economics exam grader is highly preferred.
- Ability to simplify complex economic concepts for students of varying skill levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for teaching.
- Availability during evenings and weekends.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with current events and how they relate to economic theory.
- Experience helping students with data analysis and graph interpretation.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to personalize instruction for different learning styles.
- Knowledge of standardized testing formats (AP, SAT Subject Tests in Economics, etc.).

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
