Summer Youth Work Program Overview
The Summer Youth Work Program offers Caddo Parish students a chance to learn about local government operations, explore career opportunities, gain employment experience, and develop essential work readiness skills.
Eligibility
The program will run from Wednesday, May 27, 2026, to Friday, July 31, 2026. It is open to Caddo Parish residents who are at least 16 years old and currently attending high school or pursuing undergraduate studies in college.
Applications
Applications will be accepted online through the Parish of Caddo website March 16-March 30.
Compensation
Training Opportunities
Summer workers will have access to training workshops covering topics such as Public Speaking, Interviews, Diversity and Inclusion, and Leadership, as well as Ethics, Harassment, and a new employee orientation.

- High school participants will be paid $10.00 per hour.
- College participants will earn $12.00 per hour.

Positions and Work Locations
Available positions include clerical and laborer roles:
- Clerical Office Positions: These roles involve working in a business office environment, which includes greeting visitors, answering and transferring calls, filing, scanning, typing, and performing other assigned duties.
- Laborer Positions: These roles entail work both indoors and outdoors, focusing on housekeeping, groundskeeping, maintenance, and other assigned tasks.
