Responsibilities
- Prepare, bake, and decorate a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
- Package finished products for sale or wholesale, ensuring presentation meets quality standards.
- Collaborate with fellow bakers to develop new recipes and menu items that align with customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry area, adhering to food safety and handling regulations.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies necessary for pastry production.
- Ability to keep up with high volume store & wholesale pastries.
Experience
- Previous experience as a cook or pastry chef/ baker in a restaurant or catering/wholesale environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of French pastries is a huge plus.
- Culinary training or certification is a plus but not mandatory; hands-on experience will be highly valued.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations within the kitchen setting.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role.
