Barista Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Barista Cashier to join our vibrant café team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of coffee and food items. You will also handle transactions efficiently and maintain a clean and welcoming environment for our customers. Duties

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for processing customer orders and transactions accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards during food preparation and handling.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee, food supplies, and other products.
• Perform basic math calculations for cash handling, including processing payments and giving change accurately.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly atmosphere.

Requirements

• Previous barista experience or coffee experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Familiarity with POS systems (Toast)
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Knowledge of food safety practices related to food preparation and handling is essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
