A Little Different From a Traditional Bakery
You will not be required to bake cakes from scratch.
Paris Baguette provides the cake bases/components, recipes, designs, and detailed cake manuals. Your primary responsibility is to assemble, decorate, finish, and present cakes according to Paris Baguette standards.
You'll receive clear recipes and visual standards to follow while using your decorating skills to consistently produce beautiful, high-quality cakes.
What You'll Do
- Assemble, decorate and finish cakes according to Paris Baguette recipes and standards.
- Follow provided cake manuals, recipes, designs and production specifications.
- Create clean, consistent finishes using piping, icing, fruit, chocolate and other decorations.
- Prepare cakes for daily display, customer orders, holidays and seasonal promotions.
- Maintain consistent quality, appearance, portioning and presentation.
- Plan daily production to ensure cakes are ready on time and displays remain stocked.
- Check ingredients and finished products for freshness and quality.
- Follow FIFO, date-labeling and proper storage procedures.
- Monitor cake-decorating ingredients, supplies and inventory and report items that need replenishment.
- Minimize product waste while maintaining quality standards.
- Keep the cake station, equipment, tools, coolers and work areas clean, organized and sanitized.
- Follow all food-safety and sanitation requirements.
- Work closely with bakery and management teams to keep production running smoothly.
These responsibilities also line up well with what larger bakery employers emphasize: consistent decorative designs, recipe adherence, production planning, inventory, sanitation, quality and date control.
What We're Looking For
- Previous cake decorating, pastry, bakery or similar experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and presentation.
- Ability to follow recipes, visual guides and standardized designs accurately.
- Comfortable using piping bags, tips and common cake-decorating tools.
- Good time-management and organizational skills.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well with a team.
- Comfortable working on your feet and in a fast-paced bakery environment.
- Food-safety knowledge or certification preferred.
- Availability for early mornings, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Complete approximately 15–20 finished cakes per shift/day while maintaining Paris Baguette’s quality, presentation, and food-safety standards.
- Organize daily production efficiently to meet required cake quantities and customer demand.
- Balance speed, consistency, and attention to detail while following Paris Baguette cake manuals and specifications.
