Baker

Overview

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Baker to join our team at our newly opening Paris Baguette location in Rancho Bernardo this coming January.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand-new store and a talented team from day one. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in baking bread, pastries, and other baked goods, and take pride in creating high-quality products that meet Paris Baguette’s standards for freshness, flavor, and presentation. This position offers growth potential for those who demonstrate strong teamwork, consistency, and leadership in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, and other bakery items according to Paris Baguette recipes and quality standards.
• Follow daily production schedules to ensure all items are ready for display and sale.
• Work closely with the production and cake teams to maintain smooth operations and meet customer demand.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Monitor ingredient inventory and report supply needs to management.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, supportive work environment.
• Take ownership of consistency, quality, and timing in all baking tasks.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in baking, pastry production, or food preparation preferred.
• Basic understanding of dough preparation, proofing, and oven operations.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistent product quality.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and stand for long periods.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperature environments.

Job Details

• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay: From $20.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
• Expected Hours: Around 40 hours per week
• Shift: Must be able to start as early as 2:00 AM and work during morning/day shifts
• Benefits: Health and dental insurance offered depending on experience and mutual agreement
