POSITION: Senior Accountant
LOCATION: Alpharetta, GA
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial records, enabling sound financial decision-making across the company.
- Analyze and review all balance sheet accounts, with particular focus on aged items, deferred revenue, and accruals; Confirm the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement accurately reflect the company’s financial position and performance
- Assist in the management of annual budgets, forecast future financial trends, and monitor performance against financial goals.
- Support the cash management system
- Ensure financial reports are accurate and timely through efficient processes and strong internal controls
- Assist in federal, state and local tax compliance and third-party tax advisors
- Support the integration of accounting for any acquisitions
- Effectively manage and maneuver cross-functional relationships
- Stay up to date on changes in accounting standards/regulations and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or CPA are required
- 2 years of public accounting experience
- Experience with accounting software
- Understanding of what is involved with different audits and what data needs to be pulled with each
- Able to convey complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders
