Bilingual Parent Workshop Facilitator

Job locations in Fontana, CA, Colton, CA, Victorville and Lynwood, CA. Pay is $125-150 PER WORKSHOP

Parent Empowerment is a leading provider of Parent and Student Workshops in the Southern California area doing our part to help close the gap between schools, students, and parents. We partner with schools to increase and improve the parental involvement. We offer facilitators rewarding experiences that provide attractive compensation and the opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of the parents who attend our workshops. We are currently recruiting experienced teachers or trainers to join the Parent Empowerment team for the school year.

Position Description

We are looking for an engaging and dynamic facilitator who has experience facilitating workshops or training's to adults in English and Spanish. This is a position that is meant to be supplemental therefore it is a great position for substitute teachers, stay at home moms, or someone who has another source of income. It is NOT a full time position. Here are some expectations for the position:

Review presentation and prepare for workshop

Set up and clean-up of audio/video, materials, refreshments, etc

Facilitate parent workshop

Trainer Qualifications:

Minimum 4 years of experience in presenting and engaging groups of more than 10

Master’s degree REQUIRED (or equivalent professional degree in area of specialty)

Fluent in Spanish speak/read/write

Ideal education:

• Master's in Ed
• Psychology
• Sociology

Experience as an educator (can be substituted for experience in field of expertise- psychology, social services, etc)

Engaging and professional

Ability to memorize and present scripted presentations.

Must be able to work autonomously and solve problems.

Must have an outgoing, engaging personality and the desire to help people.

Must be able to control and engage a crowd of 1-50

Experience in sales, public speaking and or presentations highly preferred.

Requires the ability to lift up to 65 pounds

Knowledge of how to use a laptop, projector, and a/v equipment

Need your own laptop

Need reliable transportation in which you are able to transport workshop equipment, signage, etc
