Role Description The Outside Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Portland, OR. This position is responsible for managing and growing a territory by visiting industrial customers, conducting in-person sales calls, and presenting product solutions tailored to client needs. Day-to-day activities include identifying new business opportunities, preparing and delivering sales presentations, responding to customer inquiries, and providing follow-up support to ensure satisfaction. The role involves collaborating with internal teams on pricing, inventory, and order status, maintaining accurate account records, and meeting established sales targets. The Outside Sales Representative is expected to represent Paramount Supply Company professionally in the field and help strengthen long-term customer relationships.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability in Sales Presentations and New Business Development to effectively generate leads and close opportunities.
- Strong Relationship Building skills to establish and maintain long-term customer partnerships.
- Customer Service experience focused on responsive, solution-oriented support for industrial clients.
- Clear and professional Communication skills, both verbal and written, for meetings, proposals, and follow-up.
- Familiarity with industrial products (pipe, valves, fittings, and related specialties) and willingness to learn technical product knowledge.
- Proven track record in outside or field sales, preferably in industrial distribution or a related industry.
- Ability to work independently, manage a territory, and prioritize visits and activities to achieve sales goals.
