Position Summary
The Laundry Aide is responsible for ensuring resident clothing, linens, and facility laundry are cleaned, processed, and distributed accurately and efficiently. This role plays a vital part in maintaining a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold resident laundry, linens, and facility laundry.
- Distribute clean laundry and linens to designated areas and residents.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the laundry department.
- Follow infection control and safety procedures while handling soiled and clean linens.
- Monitor linen inventory and remove stained or damaged items from circulation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous laundry, housekeeping, or healthcare experience preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stretch, and lift throughout the shift.
- Ability to push laundry carts and safely handle laundry supplies.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to resident satisfaction.
