Our client, a respected law firm, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join its Construction Law team. This position supports attorneys handling construction defect disputes, with a primary focus on pre-litigation matters, arbitration, and mediation. The ideal candidate thrives in a deadline-driven environment and enjoys managing case details from intake through resolution.
What You'll Do
- Open and organize new matters, including gathering and reviewing case information.
- Conduct property and public records research to support case development.
- Track arbitration filings and ensure critical dates are properly calendared.
- Maintain case information within the firm's case management system.
- Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, experts, and vendors throughout the life of a case.
- Review and process invoices related to litigation support services.
- Assist with mediation and arbitration preparation.
- Keep files organized and ensure all deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Provide general litigation support as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- At least 1 year of paralegal or litigation support experience in a law firm.
- Experience with construction law or construction defect matters is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate is a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational, research, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach.
