Job Title: Shipping & Logistics Support
Job location: Oak Creek, WI
Shift: 8:00 am -5:00 pm, M-F
Salary: $20-22 per hour based on experience
Summary: The Shipping & Logistics Support supports the logistics department by managing key clerical and administrative functions. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records of inbound and outbound shipments, coordinating freight carriers and customer pickups, and ensuring efficient, on-time delivery operations.
Duties:
• Coordinate LTL, truckload, and expedited shipments (inbound and outbound) using Acumatica and the Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Calculate and apply customer freight charges and carrier costs accurately in both TMS and Acumatica.
• Provide timely and accurate LTL freight quotes to customers and the sales department via phone and email
• Process production orders for truck shipments in accordance with specified shipping lead times.
• Troubleshoot and develop effective solutions for complex delivery locations and time-sensitive shipments.
• Assist with carrier freight bill audits to ensure accuracy and cost control.
• Process freight claims and support claim resolution as needed.
• Support parcel shipment quoting and carrier invoice auditing.
• Enter international orders into online systems as required.
• Provide support to the LTL Office and OS&D (Overages, Shortages & Damages) Freight positions as needed.
• Assist with special projects and departmental initiatives as assigned.
- Completion of 4-years of high school, or equivalent is strongly preferred
- Over 1 year and up to including 3 years’ experience is preferred
- Efficient in Microsoft Office
- Computer literate
- Familiar with Transportation and/or Logistics programs
