We are actively seeking a recently licensed, entry-level attorney who has just passed the bar. Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in diverse areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, and patent law.
- Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and legal opinions.
- Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, and memoranda with precision and clarity.
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
- Stay current on relevant laws and regulations affecting practice areas through continuous learning and professional development.
- Collaborate with colleagues in a dynamic law office setting to develop case strategies and ensure compliance with all legal standards.
- Assist in the preparation for trials or hearings by organizing evidence and preparing witnesses as needed.
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar with active licensing.
- Proven experience in practicing one or more of the following areas: estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation or patent law.
- Demonstrated proficiency with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Strong research skills complemented by excellent writing abilities for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced law office environment is preferred.
- Legal administrative experience is a plus for managing case files and supporting office operations effectively.
