Position Summary

The District Manager is responsible for leading multiple Parakeet Cafe locations through strong leadership, coaching, accountability, and operational support.

The primary focus of this role is people development and elevating standards across all cafés. This leader will spend the majority of their time developing General Managers, Assistant General Managers, Culinary Ops Leader, and future leaders while ensuring every location consistently delivers the Parakeet Cafe experience.

Success in this role is measured by the ability to build strong leaders, create sustainable systems, improve operational execution, and maintain a culture of guest obsession and accountability.

This position requires open availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and the flexibility to support the business as needed.

What You'll DoDevelop Great Leaders

• Build, coach, and develop high-performing General Managers and leadership teams.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, development conversations, and performance coaching.
• Create individual development plans and succession plans.
• Identify future leaders and help them grow into larger roles.
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Spend significant time in cafés coaching and developing leaders in real time.

Elevate Standards Across All Cafés

• Raise the bar on operational execution, hospitality, cleanliness, food quality, and beverage standards.
• Ensure all cafés consistently utilize company tools, checklists, MEPs, Flight Paths, and training resources.
• Identify opportunities and create action plans that drive sustainable results.
• Reinforce consistency across all locations through coaching and accountability.
• Create systems that help teams win every day.

Lead Through Guest Obsession

• Create a culture where every decision starts with the guest experience.
• Ensure hospitality standards are consistently executed.
• Review guest feedback and implement action plans.
• Drive strong guest satisfaction and online review performance.
• Teach leaders how to create memorable guest experiences through great hospitality.

Build Strong Teams

• Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts.
• Ensure cafés are staffed with team members who demonstrate desire, effort, and ability.
• Create positive, engaging environments where team members feel supported, developed, and inspired.
• Partner with leaders to build strong cultures and reduce turnover.

Drive Business Performance

• Manage labor, sales, controllables, and profitability metrics.
• Hold leaders accountable to KPIs and operational goals.
• Review trends and create action plans to improve performance.
• Ensure cafés operate efficiently while maintaining high hospitality standards.

• 3 years of multi-unit restaurant leadership experience.
• Proven success developing people and building strong leadership teams.
• Passion for coaching, mentoring, and elevating performance.
• Strong hospitality and guest service mindset.
• Experience leading through systems, accountability, and culture.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel regularly between locations.
• Open availability and flexibility to support business needs.
