What are the responsibilities and job description for the Founding Engineer position at Paragon?
We’re building the platform that helps industrial companies across the U.S. actually sell better. Our customers are distributors and manufacturers, and we work directly in the middle of how revenue gets made: customer communication, quoting, order flow, and sales execution.
This is not an easy job. It is for someone who wants steep growth, real responsibility, and exposure to how a company wins customers from the ground up. You will spend your time talking to customers, watching how they actually work, figuring out where the product breaks, and pushing adoption until the software becomes part of their daily operation.
You will be close to the customer and close to the product. That means you will hear confusion firsthand, spot friction early, help shape what we build, and make sure customers get value fast. A big part of the job is noticing what matters, moving quickly, and doing whatever it takes to make the product stick.
Do not apply if you want a comfortable 9-to-5, a highly structured environment, or a job where you can hide. This role is intense. The pace is high, the standards are high, and the work is very hands-on. But if you want to learn how to grow a company, win customers, and build something people depend on, you will learn a huge amount here.
