Position Overview

We are seeking a Quality Inspector to support our Quality team in ensuring that all incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and company quality standards.
This role is responsible for inspecting wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electro-mechanical products against engineering drawings, technical specifications, and industry quality standards. The Quality Inspector works closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to identify issues early and maintain product reliability throughout the manufacturing process.
Experience in wire harness, cable assembly, or electro-mechanical manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform receiving inspections on incoming materials and components to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase order requirements
- Conduct in-process inspections at designated production checkpoints to verify assembly accuracy and workmanship
- Perform final inspection and testing of cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and electro-mechanical assemblies prior to shipment
- Examine materials and assemblies against engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
- Use inspection and measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, multimeters, continuity testers, rulers, and hipot testers
- Identify, document, and properly segregate non-conforming materials or assemblies in accordance with quality procedures
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
- Support calibration tracking and ensure inspection tools remain within required calibration intervals
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality concerns and support corrective actions
- Assist with internal audits, quality documentation, and process improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with applicable quality standards including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IPC-A-620, and J-STD-001
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements
- Perform light data entry and quality documentation as required
Education & Experience
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Experience using inspection and measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, multimeters, or similar equipment
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred
- Experience in wire harness, cable assembly, or electro-mechanical manufacturing
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of IPC-A-620 or J-STD-001 standards
- Experience working with ERP systems or quality management systems
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour (based on experience)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Frequent interaction with Production and Engineering teams
- Periodic exposure to production floor noise and manufacturing equipment
- PPE required in designated areas
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday
- Manual dexterity required for handling small parts, tools, and inspection equipment
- Close vision and ability to adjust focus when inspecting components
- Regular hearing and speaking requirements
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 45 pounds frequently within an 8-hour shift
