We are seeking a Manufacturing Quality Assurance Specialist to support daily quality assurance and inspection activities for the manufacture of wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electromechanical products.

This role ensures incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and company quality standards. The Quality Assurance Specialist works closely with Production, Engineering, and Operations leadership to maintain product reliability, support inspection activities, and strengthen the company’s quality management system.

Experience in wire harness, cable assembly, or electro-mechanical manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving inspections on incoming materials and components to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase order requirements
  • Conduct in-process inspections at designated production checkpoints to ensure workmanship and assembly quality
  • Perform or oversee final inspection and testing of cable assemblies and wire harness products prior to shipment
  • Complete First Article Inspections and maintain associated documentation when required
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
  • Identify, document, and escalate non-conforming materials or assemblies in accordance with quality procedures
  • Maintain inspection records, non-conformance reports, and quality documentation
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure inspection tools remain within required calibration intervals
  • Coordinate calibration activities with internal teams or external vendors
  • Interface with Production, Engineering, and Operations teams to resolve quality issues and support corrective actions
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective actions related to quality concerns
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean manufacturing and 5S programs
  • Maintain compliance with applicable quality standards including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IPC-A-620, and J-STD-001

Education & Experience

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2–3 years of quality assurance or inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Experience using inspection and measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, multimeters, or similar equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Excel and ERP systems

_ Preferred_

  • Experience in wire harness, cable assembly, or electro-mechanical manufacturing
  • Familiarity with First Article Inspection documentation and control plans
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IPC-A-620, or J-STD-001 standards
  • Experience supporting quality audits, root cause analysis, or corrective actions

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour (based on experience)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Frequent interaction with production and engineering teams
  • Periodic exposure to production floor noise and manufacturing equipment
  • PPE required in designated areas
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday
  • Manual dexterity required for handling small parts, tools, and inspection equipment
  • Close vision and ability to adjust focus when inspecting components
  • Regular hearing and speaking requirements
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 45lbs pounds frequently within an 8-hour shift
