What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customs Import Specialist position at Paragon Logistics LLC?
Receives, prepares and processes import documents for Customs clearance. Also, you will need to assist with traffic for various accounts and commodities. Must be familiar with ABI processing and filing ISF’s. The Customs system we work on is AceLynk. It is a very friendly oriented user system and easy to learn. Ability to work with the steamship lines and airlines is a plus.
3-5 years in Customs brokerage industry, possess MS office skills (Word and Excel a must), must be very organized, ability to work independently as well as with others. Also, accuracy is required, ability to multi-task, customer service oriented and great communication skills. Must have a professional and friendly demeanor. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Eventually, you will interact directly with customers, freight forwarders, Customs officers, vendors and other people to ensure coordination and logistics of shipments. Answering the phone as required.
