Paragon Laboratories, Inc. is looking for dedicated and motivated Bookkeeper to join our team.
OUR COMPANY
For over 25 years, Paragon has been a local provider of chemical, physical, and biological laboratory testing services to customers across three primary markets: Environmental; Petroleum; and Chemical.
THE JOB
As a Bookkeeper on our team, you will spend your days accurately recording, organizing, and maintaining the financial transactions for Paragon Laboratories, Inc. and Paragon Field Services LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary.
In joining our company, you will be providing a critical service in support of our 600 customers in the metro and tri-state areas, while being given the opportunity to learn and grow through extensive role-specific training.
Our Bookkeepers work Monday through Friday; 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
OUR BOOKKEEPERS
- Meticulously document all financial activities, including income, expenses, sales, purchases, and payments
- Process, sort and reconcile credit card payments and/or statements
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger
- Record, maintain, and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Process payroll and maintain payroll records
- Prepare financial statements such as the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement
- Prepare and provide financial data for tax returns
- Participate in financial audits
- Work closely with the Business Analyst and President on financial matters
- Other duties, as assigned

MUST HAVE
- Ability to sit for up to 4 hours consecutively at a workstation
- Ability to wear PPE as required by internal protocols
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with Sage50 preferred
