We currently have an open position for a Quality Assurance Associate, and are seeking qualified and experienced individuals, enthusiastic to join our talented team.


The position is on-site at our Calabasas, California, manufacturing facility. (No remote work.)


Compensation / Pay Range:  $23 - $27 per hour (Candidates must match all criteria to be considered for the high end of the compensation pay range.) 


Summary: 

Create and maintain all Inspection Reports (IR) and applicable documentation for the Quality Assurance department. Perform basic inspections during the Anodizing and Blasting stages, and Clean Room labeling. Crosstrain to perform dimensional inspections on the manufacturing floor. Works under moderate supervision.


Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain all Inspection Reports (IR) for all Quality Assurance Inspection Technicians.
  • Work with CAD Drafters to submit Change Orders Submit Change Orders for updates, new information, etc.
  • Conduct Trend Analysis.
  • Perform basic First Article inspections. 
  • Perform semi-complex visual inspection for critical features, based on blueprint/drawing specifications, following both the anodizing and (again) blasting stages. (See Physical Requirements section in relation to vision.)
  • Perform semi-complex visual inspections on labels, based on blueprint/drawing specifications, in a Clean Room environment.
  • Accurately document data on job orders for traceability purposes.
  • Crosstrain to learn, and perform, simple to complex mechanical / dimensional inspections for first article, in-process, and final inspections per blueprints and/or other written specifications using designated inspection equipment such as optical computerized numerically controlled measuring systems. 
  • Monitor the operation of inspection equipment to ensure proper operation and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance concerns. Adjust machine controls accordingly and verify accuracy of settings. 
  • Follow inspection instructions/routines for inspection equipment.
  • Accurately record observations and may make recommendations for improving processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or GED required. Some college or technical training preferred.

  • Required:
    • Minimum two years visual inspection of labels and/or color; or a combination of each.
    • Ability to accurately complete IR forms.
    • Ability to read, interpret, and follow general inspection procedures, work instructions and the ability to document inspection entries accurately.
    • Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
    • Proficient Microsoft Excel skillset, including Pivot tables, Sorting, graphs, etc. 
    • Detail-orientated skillset is crucial. 
    • Communicate effectively to internal and external customers.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions. 
    • Basic computer skills and data entry.
  • Preferred:

    • Minimum one year Quality Assurance (Control) mechanical inspection experience, or a combination of education/certification and/or experience.
    • Good understanding of a calibration program. 
    • Experience with calibration of equipment.
    • Experience with ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Tolerance. 
    • Experience with ANSI/NCSL Z540.3. 
    • Working knowledge of ISO17025. 
    • Basic experience working with a statistical process control (SPC) program.
    • Complex First article inspection experience is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Frequently use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects. 
    • Frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear and will occasionally be required to bend, stoop, kneel and climb stairs.
    • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with 30-minute meal period.
