Role Description
The Billing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Philadelphia. This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end billing cycle, including preparing and issuing invoices for consulting services, verifying accuracy of billing data, and maintaining detailed records in accounting systems. The Billing Specialist will handle client billing inquiries, clarify charges, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments. Day-to-day tasks include reconciling accounts, monitoring outstanding receivables, supporting month-end reporting, and contributing to the improvement of billing processes and procedures to align with firm policies and client requirements.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Billing Process and Client Billing, including managing complete billing cycles and maintaining accurate records.
- Experience with Invoicing and Accounting, including invoice preparation, account reconciliation, and use of billing or accounting software.
- Strong Communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams, and resolving billing questions professionally.
- Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work with confidential financial information responsibly.
- Relevant experience in professional services, legal, insurance, or consulting environments is preferred.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
