Paragon are partenerd with a quant hedge fund managing $65bn AUM, they are seeking a Windows Infrastructure Engineer to join their elite technology team in NYC.
This is not your typical BAU infrastructure role. You’ll be part of a lean, highly skilled engineering team responsible for the platforms that power a world-leading quantitative investment business.
You’ll work across a diverse global estate, owning infrastructure end-to-end while driving continuous improvement through automation, innovation, and modern engineering practices.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and supporting secure, scalable Windows/Linux infrastructure across global environments
- Managing core Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Group Policy, authentication, and endpoint platforms
- Driving an Infrastructure as Code approach using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet
- Automating operational processes using PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages
- Supporting hybrid infrastructure across on-prem, Azure, AWS, and GCP
- Working closely with engineering, research, and business teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions
- Improving monitoring, observability, resilience, and performance across critical systems
- Contributing to modernisation and cloud-native transformation initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience as a Windows Infrastructure / Systems Engineer in a complex enterprise environment
- Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and enterprise tooling
- Strong scripting / automation skills (PowerShell essential, Python beneficial)
- Experience with IaC / configuration management tools
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Strong understanding of networking, virtualisation, and enterprise storage
- A proactive engineer who enjoys solving problems and improving systems at scale
