Paradise Unified School District is seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring 7th and 8th-grade science teacher to join our team at Paradise Junior High School. This 7th and 8th Grade Science Teacher will provide engaging, standards-based instruction aligned with the California Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). The ideal candidate will foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of science through hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences that support all students in developing a strong foundation in scientific literacy. Key Responsibilities: -Plan and deliver rigorous science instruction aligned with California NGSS standards for grades 7 and 8 -Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes exploration, collaboration, and student voice -Assess student progress regularly and use data to guide instruction and support student growth -Collaborate with grade-level and department colleagues to align curriculum and instructional practices -Communicate effectively with families to support student learning and engagement -Participate in professional learning, staff meetings, and district initiatives focused on continuous improvement Why Paradise?
