Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Your leadership will inspire our culinary staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences, whether in fine dining settings, catering events, or banquet services. Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Chef in supervising kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and food service personnel, fostering a positive and productive team atmosphere
  • Assist with menu planning and recipe development to ensure variety, quality, and consistency across all offerings
  • Oversee food preparation and presentation, maintaining strict adherence to food safety standards and dietary requirements
  • Manage inventory control and food ordering processes to minimize waste while ensuring ingredient availability for daily operations
  • Supervise shift management activities, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring timely service during busy periods
  • Coordinate with catering and banquet teams to execute large-scale events seamlessly while maintaining high standards of quality
  • Enforce sanitation policies and safety procedures across the kitchen to uphold health regulations and promote a safe working environment

Experience

  • Proven culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining environments or upscale hospitality settings
  • Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience within a fast-paced kitchen or food service operation
  • Familiarity with dietary department protocols and special dietary accommodations
  • Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, inventory management, and food handling safety practices
  • Experience in catering, restaurant management, or banquet service is highly desirable
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse culinary team and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Knowledge of food industry trends, menu planning strategies, and kitchen management best practices
