Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards and adherence to food safety protocols
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales, utilizing knowledge of the menu and specials
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to maintain smooth operations
- Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings efficiently and maximize seating capacity
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong culinary knowledge and food industry experience; understanding of food preparation, sanitation, and safety standards
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude; ability to build rapport with diverse guests
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables and prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability in sales techniques including upselling to enhance guest experience and revenue
- Previous experience in fine dining or nightclub settings is advantageous
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and accurate bill processing
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required in the hospitality industry
- Must have minimum 2 years experience
