The CNC Machinist completes a combination of machine cutting operations required to assemble the raw materials for the manufacture of platforms and/or related parts, in a reasonable period and in accordance with company quality standards. This position generally requires a skilled operator comfortable working with difficult, awkward materials and capable of using standard measuring tools. Calipers Mics and measuring tapes.

The Machine Operator shall report directly to the Production Manager of PARADIGM.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate CNC machine equipment to cut/create items by approved methods and processes successfully.
• Interpret/read Manufacturing Work Instruction (MWI), Inspection Checklists (IC), MIL-STD, work specification sheets, and drawings.
• Ability to effectively use verification tools (calipers, mics measuring tapes & etc.)
• Maintain equipment properly and keep a clean and organized workstation.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Mark, trim and do any required preparation work on raw material before cutting.
• Ability set-up and run CNC Mill. Experience with manual machines lathe and Knee mills a plus.
• Able to follow and comply with company rules, processes, safety, and procedures.
• Must be able to independently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Perform daily pre-operational routine maintenance and basic adjustments on CNC and manual machines.
• Complete all required paperwork and recordkeeping.
• Assist as needed in the training of new operators.
•  Works in a team environment and communicates effectively with co-workers at all levels of the company. 
• Performs other duties as assigned by management of PARADIGM.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be US citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR/Export Control requirement)
• High School degree or equivalent Preferred. 
• Ability to comprehend and carry out written drawing instructions in English.
• Be able to perform the physical demands of the job.
• Experience in CNC program editing or CAD CAM a plus.
• Organized with a specific attention to detail.
• Industrial machine or CNC machine operations experience preferred.
• Capable of using standard measuring tools used in a machine shop.
• Ability to comply with all other requirements as specified within the PARADIGM Personnel Policies and Procedures.
