Job Overview
We are a busy truck and trailer repair shop dedicated to keeping fleets on the road safely and efficiently. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Bookkeeper / Safety Manager to join our team. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values independence, and has strong organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage vendor invoices, customer billing, and collections
- Payroll: Process employee payroll accurately and on time
- Budgeting: Assist with financial planning and expense tracking
- HR & Staff Management Support: Help with onboarding, employee records, and staff coordination
- Safety Management: Develop, implement, and maintain safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulations
- Office Efficiency: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve workflow
Skills
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and general accounting practices
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a self-starter
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Prior experience in bookkeeping and safety management preferred
- Knowledge of trucking/repair industry operations a plus
