Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools according to food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Manually handle and organize dishes and kitchen supplies with care, ensuring proper stacking and storage.
- Follow strict food safety management protocols to prevent cross-contamination and maintain hygiene standards across all food handling areas.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as bussing tables, clearing plates, and supporting catering or banquet setups when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing station, including cleaning sinks, counters, and surrounding areas regularly.
- Support the kitchen team by performing heavy lifting of supplies or equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and overall cleanliness in the restaurant or hotel environment.
Experience
- Previous restaurant experience or hospitality background is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated newcomers eager to learn!
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and dishwashing techniques is a plus.
- Experience with food service operations such as bussing, serving, or catering enhances your fit for this role.
- Knowledge of knife skills, basic food preparation, or culinary experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely in a busy setting.
- Prior banquet or hotel experience adds value but is not essential; we value enthusiasm and a strong work ethic above all.
